WHAT IS MINDFULNESS? 
Mindfulness is a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, without judgment.

GROUNDING TECHNIQUES 
 
Grounding is a practice that can help you pull away from repetitive negative thoughts, unwanted memories, or distressing emotions.  These techniques are designed to help you distract yourself from your mental movie and refocus on what is happening in the present moment.
