I am originally from Amarillo, TX. I graduated from West Texas A&M with a Bachelors of Science degree in Physical Education. I moved to Bakersfield in 1990 and began my career in the oil and gas industry working for Halliburton Services and later at Chevron Texaco. While working at ChevronTexaco, I was also coaching volleyball at Garces High School, and decided it was time to get back to school to become an educator. I went back to school and received my teaching credential from the University of LaVerne. I was hired on at Norris Middle School in 2006 as a Language Arts teacher and switched to PE in 2015.
I love to coach volleyball, and I've coached at Norris and Garces High School, and I am currently the assistant varsity coach at Liberty.
I have two sons who went through Norris from kindergarten through 8th, so I know what it's like to be a Norris parent. I have two wonderful grandsons, and they are the love of my life.
I look forward to meeting you soon!
