Norris Knights Bands

Hello to all Band Members and Parents/Guardians!

My name is Jared Dalgleish and I am the band director at Norris Middle School and Veterans Elementary School. This is my first year with the Norris School District and I couldn't be more excited to meet you all and start the 2018/19 school year.

I am originally from Wisconsin. I received my Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Music Education and Trombone Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. I then attended graduate school at Western Michigan University and received my Master of Music degree in Trombone Performance with an emphasis in instrumental conducting. I previously taught middle school choir at Rosedale and Freedom Middle School in Bakersfield and then taught a semester of college trombone, euphonium, and tuba students at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point as an Associate Lecturer of Low Brass. My interests outside of music include cheering on the Green Bay Packers, exploring the outdoors, and watching movies. I am beyond excited to take over the wonderful instrumental music program at Norris Middle School and Veterans Elementary School and look forward to making beautiful music with the Norris band students. GO KNIGHTS!

This website will have all of the updated band information for parents/guardians and students. All information on performances, expectations, etc. can be found on each bands' respective page. Feel free to sign up for the Remind text system associated with your band. Further information on this will be on the corresponding band page to the left. Please do not hesitate to contact me by email: jared.dalgleish@norris.k12.ca.us or my office phone (661) 387-7060. My cell phone is one of the best ways to contact me since I am not always in the office: 608-630-1809.

I look forward to working with all of the band students at Norris Middle School and Veterans Elementary in what will be a new and exciting year in music!
