SLED Summer Boot Camp
From August 7th - 10th, 25 NMS students met with a team of expert trainers from iSchool and the SLED advisor. Students participated in workshops to develop their leadership, public speaking, and problem solving skills. They met with school administrators to discuss changes that they would like to see at NMS. They split into groups and selected the first round of projects to work on. Students will now work on these projects throughout the year in the Leadership Elective (for those enrolled) and during before school meetings (2/month). Students also led the entire Norris School District Staff in an “Escape the Conference” activity.
