Welcome to Norris Middle School, home of the Norris Knights!
I am excited for the 2023-2024 school year, and even more excited to be serving as the principal of Norris Middle School! The Norris community is the best community to educate students, and I am looking forward to partnering with families to build long lasting relationships that promote growth and learning of our students.
I have been an employee of the Norris School District since 2007, so this is my 17th school year with the district. I taught fifth grade for 10 years before moving to Norris Middle School. I became so attached to middle school age students that I am now beginning my seventh year here at the middle school! I always strive to lead and encourage our students to do their best, and be their very best. As principal, my goal is to continue to build confidence, encourage, empower, and help our students raise the bar behaviorally, socially, and academically.
One tenant from our mission statement states: "A BELIEF of the worth and dignity of each and every person." I strongly believe our teachers and staff emulate this belief daily. Our staff, strive to educate the whole student while partnering with families to ensure success.
For our students, Mia Hamm, a famous soccer player, once said, "Celebrate your accomplishments, but raise the bar a littler higher each time you succeed." Knights, this year, let's raise the bar a little higher!
